This is just my opinion but based off of my experience and research most web designers 99% of the time don't pay for fonts. Online font databases like http://dafont.com are free and available to the public.
I recently came across another online free font resource while trying to snag another hard-to-find font, http://www.fonttrader.com. Now don't be alarmed, but Yes you do have to register as a member with the site in order to access the thousands of fonts offered.
